To swap from a 2.5L to a 4.0L you have to cut the mounts from the frame and install the 4.0L version. To me it appears to be a 6 cylinder frame. The mounts on a 4 cyl are back further than on the 6.

I bought a I4 because I dont need the hp and the torque, my other car has 280 hp and 330 ft-lb of torque. The extra $2000 for the V6 was also a concern.

But the 4 needs timing belt change at 105K miles. Another thing to consider is that the 4 have had issue with head gasket (more on older gen 2.5 engine).
