Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) techniques, as outlined in Tessendorf 2001, produce incredible realism for sufficiently large sampling grids, and moderate-size grids may be processed in real time on consumer-level PCs. WebThe ocean surface extends to the horizon, which is achieved by projecting a screen-space grid onto the ocean plane. The projected grid points are then modified by the FFT-generated displacement map. This demo uses clFFT, so FFT computation runs on the GPU. Screenshot Running the demo
