It represents a combination of views that contrast with those associated with traditional positivist and interpretivist positions [ 19, 20, 21 ]. An increasing number of public health, and to a lesser extent human rights, scholars are adopting a CR position [e.g] [ 9, 22, 23, 24, 25 ]. Webpostmodernism. However, this engagement with critical realism has overall been imprecise, misunderstood, or superficial, leaving untouched the rest of Bhaskar's thinking about epistemology and ontology.
